Under the administration of Deval Patrick, this office maintained communication with individual citizens and constituency groups. Series includes chronologically arranged gubernatorial citations to persons or organizations in recognition of outstanding service or deeds, for retirements, for birthdays of sixty-five or more years, and for wedding anniversaries of fifty or more years. Series documents formation of the citation from a request form (name, occasion, date, mailing address, requestor--e.g. state legislator) and in some cases correspondence, to a photocopy of the citation itself, signed by the governor.
